TTC President: Covid-19 is an opportunity for businesses to wake up, businesses do not perceive technology investment as death

DNVN -Mr. Dang Van Thanh said that Covid-19 is an opportunity for businesses to re-margin, rebalance cost control and market control. At this stage, enterprises do not perceive technology investment as dead. Covid-19 is an opportunity for businesses to wake up to themselves.

Up to this point, our country's businesses (DN) have suffered quite a lot of damage because of the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic in recent times. Although the epidemic has been gradually controlled, it will be a long story to restore production and business activities as well as the economy as before.

With the heavy damage that Covid-19 has caused to our economy in particular and the global economy in general, it is difficult to confirm the exact time for all activities to return to normal. .

Besides some optimistic opinions about the economic recovery, most experts said that the economy in Vietnam will be very difficult to recover within the next 3-6 months.

At the online talk show with the content "Removing cash flow problems for businesses during the crisis", experts also gave their opinions on the recovery of our country's economy in the coming time, as well as such as how businesses should build short-term and long-term business plans to suit the new situation and the change of the economy in general.

Experts attended the online seminar with the content "Removing cash flow problems for businesses during the crisis".

To assess the situation of Vietnam's economic recovery in 3-6 months, Mr. Huynh Buu Son - Banking and finance expert commented: "Although we are very optimistic, in the period of 3-6 months With the current general situation, it is difficult for us to do anything. In the past time, we are like sick people who have just recovered, we will not be able to do much, but saving businesses needs help. support from the State. What we need to do now is how to reduce the unemployment rate."

According to Mr. Son, at this time, businesses should focus on resuscitation to get healthy again and focus on supplementing and perfecting defects in the near future. He also said that in the next 3-6 months, it is difficult for the economies in European countries and North American countries to restart.

Mr. Lam Minh Chanh - Founder of BizUni School of Business Administration, co-founder of the Management and Entrepreneurship Group said: Currently, Europe and North America still have deaths. If these countries have not recovered to normal, Vietnam will not be able to return to normal. We've been using the term "new normal" a lot lately, I think it's nice because in this stage we have to accept this so-called "new normal" and live with it.

Mr. Chanh also gave advice: "If businesses are operating in the industry of providing essential products, this is an opportunity to continue to develop. This is the time to be creative and innovative to find a way for business development in line with the actual situation of society and the economy."

Sharing the same opinion with experts in the seminar, the founder of BizUni School of Business Administration also said that to say that Vietnam can recover its economy in the next 3-6 months is an optimistic statement but it will be difficult. to perform. According to him, to reconnect to revive the economy is very time consuming, to find a vaccine we need 1-1.5 years, so it will be difficult to judge when the economy can recover.

However, there are also optimistic opinions, Mr. Kao Sieu Luc - General Director of ABCBakery said: "We are lucky in Vietnam to control the disease well and there are no deaths. Therefore, he also agrees with the idea that Vietnam can start to slowly recover in the next 3-6 months.

According to Mr. Ngo Cong Truong - Chairman of John & Partners Education and Consulting Joint Stock Company, we should look further. Because currently the US announced that it is expected that social isolation may be until 2022. Harvard University also made a judgment that everything will return to normal after 2022.

Mr. Truong also emphasized: This is also the time to make some personal and corporate behaviors change permanently. We need to accept this change. If in the past people were the most valuable assets of enterprises, now the right people are the most valuable assets. Therefore, he is very optimistic that in the next 3-6 months everything in Vietnam can be restored.

Besides, the Chairman of John & Partners Education and Consulting Joint Stock Company also gave advice: When the world is closed because of the epidemic, that is an opportunity for me. In the next 3-6 months, businesses should analyze which industries that foreign countries cannot recover within the next 12 months, they must prepare well. I prepare from now on to be able to accelerate the breakthrough and dominate the world market, which is a great opportunity for Vietnam.

Regarding the long-term business planning of enterprises and the necessary solutions when unexpected contingencies occur so that enterprises can adjust accordingly, according to Mr. Truong: Previously, companies often set up strategies year and 10-year vision. In the past time, when approaching many multinational companies and large corporations, there are internal regulations in these units that they have a strategy of no more than 3 years and a vision of 5 years. Each year, they will re-evaluate 4 times on a quarterly basis, and always offer flexible and continuous policies in line with the actual situation.

According to Mr. Truong, from a personnel perspective, they still need short-term successes and victories, so businesses need to be more flexible. The current trend in large corporations is to divide businesses into many segments to do. The part that cannot be done, the report will be dropped and focus only on the parts that can be developed.

Mr. Lam Minh Chanh - Founder of BizUni School of Business Administration also said that the saying "Not planning is preparing for failure" is still true today. Many businesses need to plan very carefully and in detail. Especially in a period of many complicated and unexpected happenings like today, the plans of enterprises always change, even there are plans that change monthly.

With the problem of changing personnel during the Covid-19 season, TTC Chairman Dang Van Thanh said that this is an extremely painful problem, a "problem" of businesses. In Vietnam, although the salary fund is large, personal income is still modest while in developed countries it is the opposite. Mr. Thanh also said that this is an opportunity for enterprises to return to normal, rebalance cost control and market control. At this stage, enterprises do not perceive technology investment as dead. This not only helps businesses control costs, but is also necessary for the integration and development of enterprises. Covid-19 is an opportunity for businesses to wake up to themselves.
